Notice is hereby given that the Trustees of Witheridge Parish Hall (Registered

Charity No. 301019) propose to grant a 21-year lease to Witheridge Parish

Council in respect of the children's playground situated within the grounds of:

Witheridge Parish Hall

North Street

Witheridge

Tiverton

Devon

EX16 8AG

The purpose of the proposed lease is to secure the continued use, management and

maintenance of the land as a children's playground and to ensure that it continues to

provide a safe and accessible play environment for the children of Witheridge and

the wider local community into the future.

The Trustees consider that the proposed arrangement will support the continued

recreational use of the land for the benefit of the inhabitants of Witheridge and the

surrounding neighbourhood, consistent with the charitable purposes of Witheridge

Parish Hall.

This public notice is given pursuant to section 121(2) of the Charities Act 2011.

The Trustees invite representations from beneficiaries, residents and any other

interested persons concerning the proposed granting of the lease.

Written representations must be received no later than Tuesday 6 October 2026.

Representations may also be made in person at a public meeting to be held:

Tuesday 6 October 2026 at 7:00pm

The Trustees will consider all representations received within the consultation period

before making their final decision on whether to proceed with the proposed lease.

Any decision to proceed with the lease will remain subject to the Trustees satisfying

all applicable requirements of the Charities Act 2011, the charity's governing

document and any other necessary legal requirements or consents.
